MetalBuildingPricesHQ is an independent research and quote-matching site. This policy explains exactly what we collect, why we keep it, and what you can do about it.
What we collect
If you just read the site, we collect no personal information. Browsing our price pages, guides, and estimator requires no account and no form.
If you submit the quote form, we collect and store:
- Your name, phone number, and email address
- Your project details — county, building size, timeline, and intended use
- The page you submitted from
- A record of your consent — the exact consent wording shown to you, its version, the date and time, your IP address, and your browser's user agent
We keep that consent record for one reason: telemarketing law requires us to be able to demonstrate that you agreed to be contacted, and to show precisely what you agreed to. It protects you as much as it protects us.
Why we collect it and who receives it
The quote form exists to connect you with metal-building suppliers. When you submit it and check the consent box, we share your request with vetted suppliers so they can contact you with pricing. Those suppliers pay us for that introduction — see our Advertising Disclosure.
We do not sell your information to data brokers, advertising networks, or anyone outside that supplier-matching purpose. We do not share it for unrelated marketing.
Withdrawing consent
You can withdraw consent to be contacted at any time. Reply STOP to any text message, tell any caller to place you on their do-not-call list, or email metalbuildingpriceshq@gmail.com and we'll mark your record accordingly. Withdrawing consent doesn't affect anything you've already received and doesn't stop you using the site.
Requesting deletion
Email metalbuildingpriceshq@gmail.com from the address you submitted, or name the phone number you used, and we'll delete your record. One caveat we'd rather state plainly than bury: where we have already shared your request with a supplier, we can delete our copy but we cannot delete theirs — you'll need to ask them directly.
How long we keep it
Quote requests and their consent records are retained for four years, which matches the federal statute of limitations for telemarketing claims, and then deleted. If you ask us to delete sooner, we will.
Cookies and analytics
We use privacy-respecting analytics to count page views and understand which pages are useful. We do not run advertising trackers or retargeting pixels. Links to partner suppliers may include a tag identifying which of our pages sent you, so the supplier can credit the referral — that tag identifies the page, not you.
Security
Quote submissions are transmitted over HTTPS and stored in an access-controlled database. No system is perfectly secure, and we won't pretend otherwise — but we collect the minimum needed to get you a quote, which is the most effective protection available.
Children
This site is intended for adults purchasing buildings. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we'll update the date above. Consent records keep the wording that was actually shown at the time you submitted — later edits are never applied retroactively.
