Our job is simpler and more useful: help you understand what a building should cost in your county before you ever talk to a salesperson.
How our price estimates are made
Most sites quote one national number. We don't, because a metal building is engineered to local building code — and that changes the price a lot. For every Texas county we cover, we combine:
- Real engineering data — ASCE 7-22 design wind speed, ground snow load, seismic category, and (on the coast) TDI windstorm requirements.
- Size-based market pricing — current cost bands for each building size.
The result is a price range tailored to your county and size. It is always a labeled estimate, never a quote — final pricing requires a dealer quote.
Where our data comes from
Every design-load value on this site traces to a public source: the ASCE Hazard Tool (ASCE 7-22) for wind and snow, the USGS for seismic, and the Texas Department of Insurance for windstorm designations. Permit-office details are verified per county. We don't fabricate data, reviews, or dealer relationships.
How we make money
When you're ready for real numbers, we connect you with vetted metal-building suppliers — and we may earn a referral fee if you work with one. That never changes your price, and it's why we can keep the research free. We only recommend requesting quotes when you're genuinely ready to buy.

We're live across Texas today, with more states coming. The engineering and pricing approach is the same everywhere — we expand as we verify each area's data.
